Darcy Cohn, co-producer/director
Employed in the film industry since 1980, Darcy Cohn has been a producer, script supervisor and production manager on film/video projects ranging from American Playhouse dramas to national commercials, music videos, interactive, documentaries, and educational productions. Her documentary film "In Their Day - Portraits of the Women in My Family" won prestigious awards including a blue ribbon at the American Film Festival. She wrote and produced "Raphael House: More Than a Shelter," about San Francisco's first sanctuary for homeless families; "Laundromat Rock," a music video for the band, Boss Hoss; and short video art pieces for theater. Cohn is a part-time instructor in the Film/TV Department of De Anza College. She attended the Documentary Film Program at Stanford University, where she earned a master's degree in communication.
Karen E. Peterson, co-producer/writer
A Bay Area journalist and writer, Karen Peterson was a feature writer and editor at the San Francisco Chronicle, where her assignments also included early pagination development as a computer systems coordinator. She was Feature Editor at the Marin Independent Journal before moving to Web-based journalism as an editor and producer for Macworld Online. There, she received a Jesse H. Neal Award for business writers and participated in the Ethics in New Media conference sponsored by the Poynter Institute for journalism studies. Ms. Peterson is the author of children's books and travel guides, and she contributed to "HTML Web Publishing Secrets," an IDG title published in 1997.
Barbara Hass, co-producer/researcher
Barbara Hass is the content manager for LifeMap Communications Inc., a
provider of human resources information. For eight years, she served as an
editor and real estate columnist in the Home Section of the San Francisco
Chronicle. She has been food editor and features copy editor at the Modesto Bee, as well as food editor at the Columbia Missourian. While living in Tokyo, Japan, she was a free-lance photographer, with work published in the Economist, the Japan Times, the Asahi Evening News and the Far East Traveler. Hass received her master's degree in journalism with an emphasis on photography from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and she is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the journalism honor society. She was chosen as a Knight Foundation National Copy Editing Fellow in 1998.

Bill Bishop, cinematographer
Bill Bishop has worked professionally as a filmmaker for over 25 years. His
work has appeared on PBS, NBC, CBS, the BBC, The Discovery Channel, The
History Channel and has been collected by the Canadian Film Board,
Smithsonian Air & Space, and the Library of Congress. Recognized
internationally, his films have won over 90 award in competitions around the
world. Bishop is based in Northern California. His favorite film is the one
he is working on.
Janet Swanson, film editor
Janet Swanson is a film and video editor with 20 years experience, primarily in the documentary field. She has skillfully edited many award-winning television and independent productions on complex issues such as CBS Reports' "Vanishing Families: Crisis in Black America" with Bill Moyers, and "Sex, Drugs, and AIDS" by ODN Productions. Swanson has put together portraits of dedicated animal keepers in National Geographic's "Keepers of the Ark"; musical artists in "Different Drummer: Elvin Jones"; an entire state in "Portrait of America: Connecticut"; and young people living in London for MTV's "Real World" television series. Swanson has also served as editor on numerous Maysles projects including "Public Education"; "Abortion in America"; "Muhammad and Larry"; and "Islands." More recently, she edited George Butler's feature film documentary "In the Blood," exploring the tradition and sport of hunting.
